Help me ! : Why My Flash Drive is Error ?

Several days ago I bought a USB Flash Drive 16GB capacity, but after checking with Windows 7, it is said that the drive's total capacity is 14.8GB (Total size) where is 1.2GB ?

For advence user.I think you know.but for rookie please read more...

You must know that :
1KB =1024 byte
1M = 1024KB
1MB for real,this is 1,048,576 byte (not 1,000,000 byte for you think)

So the 16GB capacity of the computer it means. 17.179,869,184 bytes (16 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024).

Actually, this story has been going on for now over 20 years. When they sell hard drives and now memory cards (RAM is different) they sell by the thousands. So a 16 gig cf card has 16,000,000,000 bytes. But the computers calculate a 1Kilo byte as 1024 bytes. So your card is 14.9 Gb only[16,000,000,000/(1024*1024*1024)], then there is the directory, the 2 allocation tables...
