Samsung continues to prove he is the king of the smartphone market, and even now has far outpaced large companies like Apple. In fact, sales of Samsung surpass even those achieved by Apple and Nokia together. While Nokia is not selling as many phones as a few years ago, still has a slight market share.
According to Strategy Analytics, Samsung managed to sell 63 million smartphones in the last three months of last year, this amounts to a 73% increase in the number of sales when compared to the same period of 2011. Impressive, right? What's more, since this puts the Samsung market share by 29%, exceeding both Apple has 23% as Nokia which has a 3%, or in other words, Samsung surpasses sales of both companies combined.
A year ago, the Samsung market share was 23.3%, surpassed by Apple which had 23.6% and as we always seem to stand still by the same percentage, while competition continues to progress through the improvements in the technology of its terminals.
