Apple , the company that just won $ 1,000 million in a lawsuit against Samsung, does not seem to be wasting time and continues to work as normal, and is now developing a version of AirPlay so that it works without the need for a connection WiFi. This new AirPlay AirPlay Direct has been called and is expected to be presented at the conference on September 12, which also would be presented the iPhone 5.
For streaming audio on this platform, users only need the hardware from Apple and a speaker system compatible. It seems that the WiFi would still intervene, but this might not be necessary any router.
It is not certain if AirPlay Direct also serve for streaming video and audio or only audio, but surely we will be finding out in just two weeks.
