The speed is not important only in the automotive industry. And as such we take to Titan, the world's fastest supercomputer. This new supercomputer is located at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Department of Energy of the United States and is in Tennessee.
Little Titan is capable of processing 20,000 trillion calculations per second, which makes it faster than the famous Jaguar supercomputer which for a time was the fastest in the world but now in the sixth.
The Titan is a XK7 Cray system that features a total of 18,688 nodes. Each node uses an AMD Opteron 6274 16-core Nvidia Tesla GPU and K20. Besides this, the supercomputer has 700TB of memory.
Titan will be used for studies related to climate, energy studies, motors, science and the like. In addition, you can perform simulations Titan will be unprecedented.
