☺ Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4512 Review

 5734Z-4512

Does anyone around here looking for a laptop and a very small economy? Well that's the new Acer Aspire 5734Z 15.6-inch CineCrystal display. It is not near what they are powerful computers today, but it was well not have a price about $ 500.
What carries inside the Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4512 ? For starters, the processor I use is one of the new Intel® Pentium® processor T4200/T4300/T4400/T4500 (1 MB L2 cache, 2/2.10/2.20/2.30 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 35 W), supporting Intel® 64 architecture ultra-low voltage so we can make your battery last longer, which is a 6-cell unit with a capacity of 4400mAh. Next to the CPU is an Intel integrated HD and we will also discover 2GB of DDR3 SDRAM and up to 320GB hard drive.
Regarding the screen, it measures 15.6 inches and has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Going to the design, uses a single chassis, has chiclet keyboard, trackpad, weighs 2.7 kilograms.
As you have seen, the Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4512 is a laptop with technology basic, easy to carry and can be purchased at low prices, all of which makes it ideal for anyone who needs a computer for work, play content media, surf Internet, enjoy a game casual, etc.

My Review
There are some positive things about this laptop and some not so good ones.
The best thing is probably that it plays all my discs and DVDs, even those that some DVD players don't want to play. The screen quality is really good and in HD. But, like others mentioned before, the speakers are of an awful quality. As soon as the laptop makes a slight buzzing noice, you cannot hear anything. I use a pair of old headphones I still had and with those the sound quality is excellent (though not much use if more than 1 person wants to watch the dvd).
The longest I have used the laptop without cable is 2.5 hours but that was mostly on stand by. When I played dvds, I never managed to watch a complete film, not even with a fully charged battery.
I noticed that the mains cable comes off very easily, numerous times when I had the laptop on my lap, the cable came out without me noticing.
It has a decent size keybored, useful if you don't have tiny hands!
I am a bit disappointed with the speed, the processor is clearly not the best, the laptop is not that much faster than my 5 year old PC, and I don't do much with it at the moment apart from watching my DVDs and go on FB, Ebay etc.
Also, I really don't like Windows 7 Home Premium, it's not user friendly and very, very basic. Actually, it's not free software at all, after 3 month you have to purchase it! But don't bother, it's rubbish! I had it removed and Windows 7 Professionals installed instead which is much better.
I also find downloading photos from my mobile is a real hassle, it won't accept the installation disc from my mobile phone, I never had difficulties on any other PC before. And since I had my mew software, it has not been a problem any more.
The webcam is also not very good, sometimes it's not working when I skype.
I don't do any games at all, so I cannot comment on it's suitability for that.
Overall, with my new software, I use it a lot, for pleasure and work and it serves me well.

The Russian version of Wikipedia is closed to make an uncensored Network

The Russian version of Wikipedia has decided to close its service for a day in protest of Information Act that promotes the Russian executive. This is a bill that would compromise the freedom of the Internet, creating a list of websites not approved by the Government, which would be no access at home.

Governments around the world are trying to create an Internet law. In an attempt to adapt to current needs, governments try to create rules governing Internet traffic. The attempt to create a legal framework around the Internet is risk that restricts the freedom of the network and that governments use these laws for their own purposes.

The danger of the adoption of Internet standards has led to protests occurring around the world, such as those experienced before the vote in the U.S. SOUP. Russia is now trying to regulate the Internet through its known as the Information Act. In this law, there is a possibility to create lists of pages that violate different rules, allowing authorities to limit the connection to them.

The possible passage of the bill, which will be voted in parliament, has led to protests raise the threat to Internet freedom. Specifically, Wikipedia, as it did with SOPA, is the most widely mobilized to protest against Russian law.

The Russian version of the popular online encyclopedia of the Network has decided to close for one day in protest. When attempting to access a message service where the Wikipedia logo is covered by a black band. From Wikipedia has explained that the Russian law that parliament wants to approve could lead to "Internet censorship in Russia", which would affect any page, including Wikipedia.

In his message, the leaders of the Russian Wikipedia manifest "against censorship, dangerous for the free knowledge and open to all mankind." This is a campaign similar to that already used in the U.S., attended by a large number of websites and companies. The U.S. initiative got not approve the law and to be seen whether the Russian Wikipedia campaign achieves the same result.
