While the arrival of
Mars Curiosity is what else has been busy this month
NASA, the agency has also been busy doing other things such as
trying to Morpheus, the new landing system.
Morpheus is equipped with two key technologies for successful landings: a
system that detects obstacles and a
proponent of methane, which could not only be used during landings, but also during space travel, and also obtain methane appears to be a problem through fields of ice on the moon so much as on Mars. It is also estimated that every year, the International Space Station and discarded much methane produced to fill the tank of Morpheus.
The obstacle detection system is used to find a safe spot to land, without large rocks or cracks or anything like that.
