Google would have to sensurar the word 'torrent' and 'RapidShare'

The terms "torrent", "rapidshare" and "megaupload" can not be suggested when a person performs a search on Google. That is, should be eliminated as suggestions. That's what the Supreme Court has ordered the French in the music industry litigation against Google SNEP, whom he accused of helping to implicitly musical copyright infringement not filter those words.

What is the reason? The Supreme Court of France argues that Google provides (indirectly) piracy by not filtering the above terms, so the case was sent to the Court of Appeals which shall make the final decision for Google.

Indeed, in 2010 the trade association of the Recording Industry of France, SNEP, filed a lawsuit against Google, this was a way to force the company to filter out certain terms in their searches, noting that when users write the name an artist, Google added suggestions of words like 'torrent' or 'Rapidshare', facilitating piracy.

This case went to court that gave reason to Google before it reached the Supreme Court ruled that Google is not responsible for web sites that infringe copyright, but can handle it difficult for the public to find pirated content. It also could add more terms to the list of censored words if the appeal does not benefit Google. What do you think?

Explore with Chrome and the Tate Modern in London "This exquisite woods"

In collaboration with the museum Tate Modern in London, launched an online art experiment called " This Exquisite Forest "(" This exquisite forest "), which allows them to collaborate with others to create animations and stories using drawing tools based on technologies web. Seven renowned artists in the collection of the Tate, including Bill Woodrow , Dryden Goodwin , Julian Opie , Mark Titchner , Miroslaw Balka , Olafur Eliasson and Raqib Shaw , have created a first animation or "seed" to start an exquisite forest . From these seeds , you can add new animations to extend the story or to make branch into a new direction. They could even start your own tree of stories with friends. The more sequences are added, the animations will grow in the form of trees , creating a potentially infinite number of outcomes for each animation.

Besides the website, an interactive installation will open on July 23 in the gallery Tate Modern Level 3. The trees initiated by the artists of the Tate, as well as the contributions of all form part of the exposure through large-scale projections. Visitors to the gallery can also contribute using digital drawing stations.

This exquisite forest uses  Google Chrome features like advanced HTML5 and JavaScript to produce an experience of creation and exploration only. For example, the API Web Audio allows them to generate music to accompany your animations. This project also uses technology and services of Google App Engine and Google Cloud Storage to exist in the online world, in the cloud.

We invite you to try it on ExquisiteForest.com and contribute to an animation that allows the forest to grow. By Aaron Koblin, Google Creative Lab, Data Arts team

Twitter Launches Application for Nokia Series 40

The network of 'microblogging' Twitter has released an application for Nokia Series 40, with which claims to offer a "native experience, fast", dedicated to this terminal. Now available in the Finnish company store.
As Twitter recalls on their website, Nokia is the "world's largest platform" with thousands of devices around the world today are still in use. This does not mean that, not smartphone OS and have a pointer, do not have applications available in the market to improve your Internet experience.
Twitter is confident that these terminals are spread over a platform and so have launched a specific application. In it, users can "discover one of the richest experiences" available for this device, according to the Twitter product manager, Brian Frank, the blog network.
This series began in 1999 and has since developed into the online world with hundreds of programs and applications. Since 2011 and with the arrival of the browser Nokia Browser, Series 40 you can download all kinds of applications available on the market and manage your downloaded files in the system.
In fact, earlier this year the company launched a new version of the browser, the Browser 2.0, which increases speed by reducing data consumption up to 90 percent.

The Russian version of Wikipedia is closed to make an uncensored Network

The Russian version of Wikipedia has decided to close its service for a day in protest of Information Act that promotes the Russian executive. This is a bill that would compromise the freedom of the Internet, creating a list of websites not approved by the Government, which would be no access at home.

Governments around the world are trying to create an Internet law. In an attempt to adapt to current needs, governments try to create rules governing Internet traffic. The attempt to create a legal framework around the Internet is risk that restricts the freedom of the network and that governments use these laws for their own purposes.

The danger of the adoption of Internet standards has led to protests occurring around the world, such as those experienced before the vote in the U.S. SOUP. Russia is now trying to regulate the Internet through its known as the Information Act. In this law, there is a possibility to create lists of pages that violate different rules, allowing authorities to limit the connection to them.

The possible passage of the bill, which will be voted in parliament, has led to protests raise the threat to Internet freedom. Specifically, Wikipedia, as it did with SOPA, is the most widely mobilized to protest against Russian law.

The Russian version of the popular online encyclopedia of the Network has decided to close for one day in protest. When attempting to access a message service where the Wikipedia logo is covered by a black band. From Wikipedia has explained that the Russian law that parliament wants to approve could lead to "Internet censorship in Russia", which would affect any page, including Wikipedia.

In his message, the leaders of the Russian Wikipedia manifest "against censorship, dangerous for the free knowledge and open to all mankind." This is a campaign similar to that already used in the U.S., attended by a large number of websites and companies. The U.S. initiative got not approve the law and to be seen whether the Russian Wikipedia campaign achieves the same result.

Lilliputian Systems : Super E Battery Emergency Scooby Doo

Lilliputian Charger

"Today's Smartphones use much more power, increasing the need for a more efficient way to recharge when on the go," said Steven Schwartz, Vice President of Merchandising and Product Development at Brookstone.  "Lilliputian's groundbreaking technology provides power, wherever and whenever you need it. This breakthrough aligns well with our commitment to innovative solutions that make life easier."

Fuel cell maker Lilliputian Systems today announced that Brookstone will be the first retailer to carry its portable USB power source, which will be sold under Brookstone's brand. The fuel cell device is about the size of a thick smartphone, and the lighter fluid-filled cartridges are about the same size as a cigarette lighter. It's a big step forward both for Lilliputian Systems, a 10-year-old spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and for portable fuel cell technology in general. Several fuel cell companies have developed portable power systems, but a number have failed. The new fuel cell will charge any device that has a USB cable.

In a test lab, Lilliputian systems engineer Souren Lefian plugged a white iPhone charging cable into the Mobile Power System prototype and forwarded a few watts to my phone. There wasn't much that was thrilling about the process, aside from knowing that I can now claim to have gassed up my iPhone. Then, Lefian (pictured at left) switched cables and charged up his Android phone. On Lefian's computer screen, a graphic showed how much fuel was left in the MPS' tank, as well as how many watts it was sending to the phone, and how full the phone's battery was.

According to the manufactuer, the device will be able to charge an iPhone 4 between 10 and 14 times with one cartridge, which can work out to approximatly one or two weeks of use for most users.
