People of IBM 's reinvented solar panels. A team of scientists from the company has received $ 2.4 million to begin work on the development of a new power generator , which must be able to receive 2000 suns radiation and convert at least 80% radiation into electrical energy .
Work with IBM Research and ETH Zurich Airlight Energy in the development and testing of the new system. There is already a prototype in a test lab for IBM in Zurich, but additional ones will be created in Switzerland. As scientists say, the new system, which by the way is called  HCPVT(High Concentration PhotoVoltaic Thermal), costs about $ 250 U.S. dollars per square meter occupied.
The system HCPVT uses a large parabolic dishes equipped with multiple mirrors to deflect sunlight charge to the receivers. It is estimated that about 8 hours after exposure to strong sunlight, solar cells capable of generating about 250 watts each.
While the prototypes will be tested in Switzerland, the team plans to be used in regions like southeastern Europe, in Arabia, in some areas of Africa, also in South America and Australia, in addition to the American Southwest.
