giant Google announced Monday the elimination of 4,000 jobs in Motorola
two-thirds of them in the U.S., to try to shore up the cell phone maker
bought in May.
Google agreed to compensate workers affected with "generous
compensation" for dismissal and retraining programs, said a Google
