Invented the first rifle that works with Linux, weapons 'intelligent' take a step forward

http://i.imgur.com/mffU9.jpg

Someone once said that the "military intelligence" was a contradiction in terms, but what is undeniable is that the current weapons is becoming increasingly clever at times thanks to (or because of) new technologies. The rifle you see something below is manufactured by TrackingPoint and might seem a sniper rifle ordinary, but actually carrying a computerized system that ensures that des always on target. It works with the Linux operating system on board.

The gun is one of those inventions novel recently presented at the CES2013 and more than one will relate it with advanced weapons that appear in video games and classic titles like Counter Strike.

http://i.imgur.com/9pfm3.jpg

The system consists of a camera and a screen in the back to replace the classic peephole in these weapons. The computerized system captures images against the rifle, processes and shows you the screen on a grid. Then you just have to select the target you want to shoot and hold the trigger. Trying target until the target matches the grid and not worry about anything else, because when the direction is correct the system automatically triggers. Almost as in a video game, no matter if you have never shot a gun.

To top it off, the system can connect wirelessly to an iPad or iPhone screen from which you can help select the targets.

This means it is hard to fail, because computers never fail right?, At least if you use Linux, because someone will say that using another operating system obtuvieras perhaps what would be a nice blue background with many lyrics unintelligible above. In any case another invention designed to achieve technological eerily infallible weapon. If you want one you can buy for about 15,000 euros, including an iPad.

http://i.imgur.com/IMdrK.jpg

But it seems that their plans are different, then decided to enter the market of mobile with its new operating system for smartphones. Yes, a version of Ubuntu for mobile.
The popular Linux system has been recreated and inserted into a mobile. To get an idea, this is equivalent to Microsoft Windows 8 reschedule and make a mobile version from it, which no doubt would take much time and effort, as they carried the Ubuntu guys.
Very unfortunately has not been released on hardware of mobile phones that use Ubuntu, but it uses the same drivers that at least we know that Android developers will give us some great surprises few apps and more.
The OS will be officially unveiled on Tuesday at the CES 2013.

http://i.imgur.com/vQj9L.jpg

Typically, users of Macs and Linux teams also do not have to worry about viruses and Trojans as usual on Windows computers. But it seems that now, according to the Russian company Doctor Web, the famous computer from Apple are starting to be victims of false installation programs that serve to take away our money through mobile.
This software is malware disguised as an installer for a popular application called VKMusic4.
During the installation process, you are asked to give their victims number of mobile phone , after which you need to enter a code received via SMS. Those who continue with the process and accept a subscription will be starting to lose money as it will be used regularly the phone of the person to make payments.

New Dell laptop running with Ubuntu and are dirt cheap

http://i.imgur.com/e3YjR.jpg

If here is a fan of Linux, or preferably the Ubuntu distro, who is looking for a new laptop or notebook then we have good news , since Dell has started selling two new low-end models that run with said operating system .
Teams are the Vostro 2420 and 2520. The only difference between them is that the former has a 14-inch screen while her sister has a 15.6-inch. The strangest part is that both cost the same: $ 300.
Obviously for that price one must wait for hardware very weak, and the truth is that it is, since the processor that carry these two laptops Intel Celeron B820 is a dual-core 1.7GHz and the sad thing is that we can not acquire with a more powerful one. There is an identical version but with Windows 7 it costs $ 370, and if in addition to this we add an Intel Core i3 will cost us $ 420.
Using Dell Ubuntu has given is actually a bit poor and gives the impression that the company thinks who uses a computer these do not need a big machine, which is true only in part. Let's be honest: a computer cost $ 300 and with CPU Celeron is really small thing, but this kind of systems aimed at an audience that's used for simple tasks that do not require much resource consumption, but with the release of Steam for Linux that is about to change.

Android phones will LibreOffice

LibreOffice, for those who do not know, is the largest competitor that has the Office of Microsoft today, and is present in the operating systems of computers world's most popular, which are Windows, Linux and Mac. seems that also the suite now also LibreOffice will have a version for the Android mobile operating system.
As you can see in the picture below, the app is doing well under way, but is just taking its first steps, so surely the first version to be released in a couple of months, but hopefully with less delay, especially if improving the interface with touch screens, which apparently is what is giving more problems to the development team.
