How many Android mobile devices out there? Many millions no doubt. While in the past month many of these have come to use version Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), most still use Android devices Gingerbread version (2.3).
As of July 2, was recorded that 64% use Android 2.3.x, ie Gingerbread. 10.9% are using Ice Cream Sandwich. A month ago, the values for Gingerbread and ICS were 65% and 7.1% respectively, so we can notice a slight drop in the use of version 2.3 and a 50% increase in the use of 4.0.
Android 2.2 is still maintained at 17.3%, while the old Android 2.1 (Eclair but bad memory) is present in only 4.7%. Other Versions 1.5, 1.6 and Honeycomb are barely used, and not talk about Android 4.1 Jellybean because not even been released to the public.
Undoubtedly are some interesting facts that might not have been what we all expected. Personally, it seems a bit incredible that two thirds of the devices still use Android Gingerbread.
