For sure there are many here who remember RoboCop, that classic of science fiction of the 80's where you can see a police robot skills something unusual. For the truth is that fiction is becoming closer to reality. A group of researchers from Florida International University are currently working on the creation of a police robot that could be controlled remotely.
The project, which is being developed in conjunction with the U.S. Navy, aims to create the aforementioned type of robot so that it can be used by disabled police. Robots increasingly make tasks like human tasks, so it was only a matter of time before someone had the idea of creating a real robot to help keep things in order.
What will be able to make these robots? For everything from the delivery of traffic tickets to answer 911 calls. The most interesting part is that the developers of the project have not yet decided how it will look the robot, so we have to wait and see.
