Some experts say that in a few decades someone send a manned spacecraft to Mars and humans may their mark on the red planet. However, it is possible that this historic feat and technological forward as they say there, next to the corner, in 2018. Behind this project is Dennis Tito , an American billionaire who became one of the world's first space tourists around the year 2001. Now is willing to contribute money to found what he called the 'Mars Foundation, an organization whose main objective is to send two people to Mars on a mission that would last more than 500 days of travel and culminating in just 5 years from today.
The election of 2018 is not merely technical issues, this year is that Mars has a favorable alignment with Earth to begin a space trip of this nature. If this opportunity is lost in that year would have to wait until 2031.
The astronauts would be sent on a spacecraft to Mars where they would spend a few hours before returning, but not long enough to leave a mark on the planet, take samples and make your way back.
