Scientists are working hard to create humanoid robots that are able to mimic our physical capabilities. A team of Swiss researchers and scientists have decided to take things to another level trying to create a boy robot, or a robot that looks like a child, as they prefer to call it.
Roboy is the name of the robot that is being created in the Artificial Intelligence Lab in Zurich, Switzerland. When complete will be the size of a 4 year old.
Roboy What makes it special is that is focused on replicating the functions of muscles, bones and human tendons. The robot is still far from being completed, but the team hopes to raise enough funds to do so.
If all goes well, is expected to be ready Roboy in March 2013, just in time for a world congress of robotics to be held in Zurich.
