Sony already has two decades of experience in the game industry, and particularly of the consoles. Yesterday, in the city of New York, the company released official details of its new and future console, the PlayStation 4. In recent years, the consoles have evolved from simple gaming system as they were in the 90s, and are now able to give us a more realistic experience and better both graphics and sound. Let's see what features the new PS4.

The new PlayStation Jaguar has an AMD processor and eight-core x86-64, AMD Radeon GPU uses a 1.84 TFLOPS, includes 8GB of GDDR5 RAM (the PS3 only had 256MB of RAM) and also has a Blu-ray and a hard disk. It also has a secondary chip that handles background processes and other specifications are completed by a pair of USB 3.0 ports, auxiliary ports, HDMI, an Ethernet port and connectivity include Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi.

Regarding control we saw a few days ago, is totally authentic, and even allows you to broadcast a message of what we're playing by Ustream just press the "Share". Another positive point is that the PS4 is "smart" and the more you play the more you can recognize your tastes and recommend titles.

Sony reveals official details of the PS4

What is really bad is that the console can not run PS3 games from a disc. This is due to its hardware architecture, which is totally new. Still, you can enjoy games PS1, PS2 and PS3 by streaming Gaikai, as we saw a few days ago.

Sony did not show how the design of the new PS4 or even talked about price or release date, but expect to do so within a few months at E3 2013.
