Toshiba presents a robot for use in nuclear disaster

Last year, when disaster struck Fukushima nuclear, many were surprised by the fact that Japan, a country known for its high technology , had to ask the U.S. designed robots for nuclear emergencies. Since then, Toshiba has been working on a new robot of this type so Japan will have their own robots and need not apply for another nation.
The nuclear emergency robot Toshiba is a quadruped which is equipped with six cameras , has a system to measure the radiation of a place and obviously we can control remotely, which is great so that engineers can see the damage from an area without exposure to radiation. The small addition is capable of climbing stairs, but if you can not access certain areas of difficult access has a smaller unit that carries on its underside and is capable of taking pictures.
The first use which will give the robot is to assist with the repairs of the Fukushima plant, which continues even more than one year and a half after the accident.

Panasonic develops artificial system of photosynthesis to reduce pollution

 CO2

Japan's Panasonic claims to have developed a system that, with sunlight transforms CO2 into fuel.

CO2, aka carbon dioxide is a pollutant and a major contributor to the greenhouse effect.

According to the company, your system has 0.2% efficiency under laboratory conditions. According to Panasonic, the index is similar to real plants and more than any previous experiments conducted in the area.

The company also says that the system uses a nitride semiconductor to excite the electrons of CO2 until they turn into formic acid, used in dyes and perfumes.

The invention is already patented, but there are no predictions of release. However, Panasonic says it intends to deploy the technology in incinerators and factories, responsible for high emissions of CO2.

Japan wants to have its automated traffic for 2020

In the not too distant future, Japan could become the pioneer of traffic vehicles automated. Recently, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism unveiled plans for this new vehicle system could be implemented across the nation, but for now are discussing who will take responsibility in case of accidents, as although the vehicle would be carrying passengers, none of them would be the driver and therefore could not charge anyone to be responsible.

This discussion is one of several reasons why such systems are not used at present, but if things fail to set out, Japan will become the pioneer of automated traffic, while the inhabitants of that country simply relax in your seats, letting the car drive itself.
