Windows Phone snatches third place to BlackBerry

http://i.imgur.com/Lhex8I2.jpg

What operating systems are moving more used? First we have the familiar Android Google, which dominates the market by a large majority. Secondly we have the iOS Apple, which only smartphones level is used by the iPhone. And thirdly we have to ... Symbian? No. BlackBerry? Nor. Third place now belongs to Windows Phone, Microsoft's mobile OS that is becoming very popular apparently.
According to the latest report released by International Data Corporation (IDC), Windows Phone has sold more than 7 million smartphones in the last quarter of the year, which gives it a 3.2% market share. That does not sound like much, but enough to put the operating system in third place behind iOS and Android. BlackBerry remains in fourth place with 2.9%.
The recent rush Windows Phone is mainly due to Nokia and HTC phones that have been launched in recent months, which have served to give a boost to sales of these types of smartphones.
In your opinion, what is the best mobile platform: Android, iOS, WP, BB or another?

BlackBerry 10.1 on the way

http://i.imgur.com/DsGG7OH.jpg

If by chance you own a BlackBerry Z10, then you are lucky. Sure you want to hear that there is already a major upgrade to BB10 platform on the way. Already several Z10 feature the new BlackBerry operating system 10.1. When you go to update your phone, we suggest that it is connecting to a WiFi network high speed and have a good part of its full battery, it weighs 1GB upgrade.
We should note one thing: this update is not yet available to everyone. It seems that for now we can only get from Philippines. This is actually quite normal, as manufacturers and phone companies do not release updates at the same time around the globe, but they do so slowly, so insurance in the coming days or weeks and can update Your Z10 if you still can not.
Do we have news of an update for the Q10, but if memory serves me this smartphone is already being sold with the new version of BB10.

71% of consumers would not buy a BlackBerry

http://i.imgur.com/gRYzLwP.jpg

Bad news for  BlackBerry. Several recent polls have left some bad off the company and their phones . According to a survey of MKM Partners, 83% of the public was not aware that the platform  BlackBerry 10 was already available in the United States. Other results of another survey indicated that only 6% of people will purchase a BlackBerry phone. And bad things come in threes, not surprising that over 70% of consumers do not want to buy a BlackBerry phone . This latest survey was conducted by the firm Raymond James.
In other results, nearly 20% of respondents would not buy an iPhone. A little less than a third do not want an Android phone and as we said almost 75% of buyers have said "no" to BlackBerry.
Over here we had a very good impression of the BlackBerry Z10, since after all it is asmartphone with good features powerful, but it seems that BlackBerry is still not recognized as it should and this could eventually make trouble if sales do not improve.

BB10 1 million devices have been sold

http://i.imgur.com/y0fWHs2.jpg

Very good news for BlackBerry . On Thursday, the company has surprised everyone by announcing that during the last quarter of the year had net earnings of nearly $ 100 million. If we compare this quarter we are ending with the same last year, the outlook this time is much more favorable, since in those days then called RIM was not doing too well. In 2013 BlackBerry introduced not only a name change, but also a new attitude, a new platform and of course a new line of devices.
During the last three months, the total sales of the company in the mobile sector were 6 million units, and 1 million of these phones belong to BB10, which are mostly the Z10.
Despite having taken benefits, remember that the situation remains serious BlackBerry. The company went on to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in 2012, which will have to try to slowly recover in 2013 and in 2014 that if he wants to fully afloat.

According to BlackBerry, the iPhone is outdated

http://i.imgur.com/Ss56CxY.jpg

Well, not exactly as BlackBerry , but according to its CEO,  Thorsten Heins , who obviously speaks for your company. Heins has been showing very optimistic about the future of BlackBerry and its promising new platform, BB10. In addition, the BlackBerry Z10 has just been released in the U.S. and overall sales in the rest of the world have not been bad, which gives enough confidence to Heins, but this time seems to have passed the line of confidence and entered on the side of arrogance.
While the Z10 was released in the U.S., the CEO of BlackBerry was declaring that "the iPhone UI is outdated" and "forces users to exit an application for entry to another." Last week also made a similar statement attacking the smartphone of Apple, saying that the interface used and is 5 years old and innovate in this industry if you do not want to be replaced. Ironically the comment, for about 4 or 5 years ago this was what happened to BlackBerry in the hands of iPhone and Android. It seems that at least they are learning from their mistakes.
Even though the iPhone interface is old, the device is still selling like hotcakes, and while users are happy with it and keep it sales, Apple has nothing to worry about.

BlackBerry has received an order for 1 million units

http://i.imgur.com/N8BT651.jpg

As said by the company BlackBerry, the firm has received the order of 1 million units of its new mobile phones, which makes it the largest order in the history of the company. Not yet disclosed who made such a request, but I'm sure I'm not the only person eager to know. Everything indicates that the order came from one of his associates, but no one seems to be aware of who he is.

Given the large number of devices, it is possible that whoever did this request is none other than the Government of Canada. The truth is that today it is likely that even the U.S. government can require as many phones, so we can not think of any reason anyone would want to buy.

The first earnings report after the launch of BlackBerry platform BB10 will be released near the end of this month, so then you can see how well he has gone to the Canadian company in this area.

What would you do with 1 million units of the new Z10 and Q10 BlackBerry?

Apple regained some popularity in the mobile sector

http://i.imgur.com/7Iohk0K.jpg

Between last November and January, Apple returned to take the place of the number one manufacturer of mobile phones for the U.S.. The market share of the company on the block marked by 37.8% according to data collected by comScore MobiLens. Samsung once again stood in the second place, increasing its share to 21.4%, a slight improvement when compared with the previous two quarters.
The two giants of the market for mobile phones managed to improve their marks at the expense of HTC and Motorola, who fell by 1.7% and 1.4% respectively. LG managed to slightly improve its share, which rose by just 0.3 %.
In terms of operating systems, Android is still obviously winning platform with a share of 52.3%, but that means it has had a slight decrease compared to the previous room. IOS has improved slightly, increasing by 3 percentage , 5%. In fact, iOS was the only platform which improved its share, for the rest, that is Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Symbian, suffered losses.
It is expected that this new room BlackBerry able to improve its brand with the launch of BlackBerry 10.

The German government purchased thousands of units of the BlackBerry Z10

http://i.imgur.com/Nk5Z6hw.jpg

It seems that the German government has decided to put their trust in the new BlackBerry mobile platform, known as BlackBerry 10. The German government has always had phones and computers tipped for their employees and agents. BlackBerry may have lost popularity among the agencies of the U.S. government, yet the Canadian company has sold 5,000 units of the new BlackBerry Z10 to the German government.
The 5,000 units will have the technology Secusmart, which provides an extra layer of security for the phone, which is not surprising given that his government will use and therefore very sensitive data is handled.
This new BlackBerry contract with the German government undoubtedly serve to increase the popularity of the platform a bit BB10 and stoke his spark, which frankly is not far off but neither is alive to say.
Will this contract be what really drives a BlackBerry and lead to success? Should the rest of the sector companies start paying more attention to the movements of the Canadian from now or even an imminent threat?

Netflix will not create an app for BB10

http://i.imgur.com/OYp9CAq.jpg

According to sources close to Netflix, the company is not interested in creating an app native to the operating system BlackBerry 10 as directed. Netflix was asked what it says about these rumors and confirmed that currently there are plans to create an application that will run on BB10.
Netflix did not say much about it, but sources inside the company indicate that for now there is such a need to create an app for the new BlackBerry operating system. It is believed that the benefits that this application would be very little compared to what it would cost to develop it.
BlackBerry Alex Kinsella has said that they would love that Netflix is available to its customers, but obviously it seems that this will not happen soon.
Maybe in the future when sufficient growth BB10 and Netflix see a good opportunity, decided to create the expected application. Remember that hope is the last thing to go.

Blackberry OS 10.0.10.261 leaked and available for download

http://i.imgur.com/niBm6Hs.jpg

Great news for anyone who owns a BlackBerry smartphone Z10. If you've been waiting for an update following the recent purchase of the phone, then here it is. We should note that the update is "official" but it has not been officially announced, so not much data on the changes introduced. According N4BB, the most notable improvements (running on an Alpha Dev B) are at the level of the speed of the browser. Also likely to also have included the classics arranged for bugs.

BlackBerry will not launch low-end smartphones in 2013

http://i.imgur.com/zv8WXLQ.jpg

BlackBerry just announced that plans to launch low-end smartphones that run BlackBerry 10 in 2013. This was confirmed by Stephen Bates, a director of BlackBerry Europe. Should be released any BB10 phone like this, it will not until 2014, since when the company has other plans.

BlackBerry has launched / launch the new BB Z10 and Q10 to show the world the potential of its new platform, which could not adequately perform a phone with low specifications. The idea of the company is the first release his platform in the mid-range market and then just go down to the low end, but do not plan to make such a thing this year. On the other hand, some models BlackBerry Curve and other low-end sales have been good in some places in recent months, so if someone wants to buy a new low-end smartphone BB will have to resort to the existing market, which run with BlackBerry OS 7 and 7.1.

If you expected the launch of BlackBerry 10 mobile low price, then you have to wait until at least next year to get one.

Do you think the strategy is right BlackBerry or perhaps should focus entirely on its new operating system?

Neglects BlackBerry sales in Japan

http://i.imgur.com/kwhW2ZY.jpg
Sometimes you need to make certain sacrifices to later reap greater benefits. The smartphone market is a very competitive and companies that do not want to be left behind must take steps to stay ahead. While BlackBerry is not among the top vendors in the world, his ideas are more than clear, which is why they have recently adopted a new business strategy: according to the Nikkei news agency, the corporation is unable to justify the system conversion BlackBerry OS 10 to Japanese language simply because there is a number of users large enough to be worth doing. What does this mean? BlackBerry smartphones that 10 is not sold in Japan from now on, so the Country of the Rising Sun and can dismiss the Z10 and Q10.

If we look at it from the point of view of business, this is a strategy that makes sense. A BlackBerry is doing very well with sales in the UK and Canada, but Japan has always been a market in which these devices were not very popular, reaching market shares of 5% at its peak a few years ago.

Given this, I think it is also likely that the company stop selling BlackBerry smartphones 10 in other countries if you think necessary.

See the new BlackBerry Z10

  http://i.imgur.com/GPk3DfP.jpg

Yesterday I commented on the launch of the new BlackBerry platform (no longer called RIM), known as BlackBerry 10. In the same article made mention of a new smartphone that will be put up for sale these days (although it is available in the UK), the BlackBerry Z10. This is the first full touch smartphone launched by BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry Z10 comes, as expected, in the category of high-end phones. The phone is equipped with a brilliant 4.2-inch LCD screen with HD resolution and a pixel density of 356 per inch. As you can see, the BlackBerry has chosen not to follow the steps in the competition, who are currently launching smartphones with screens of 5 inches and larger still.

As might be expected, the Z10 will run the new OS obviously BB10. Its specifications include a dual-core processor at 1.5GHz (apparently is a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960), has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and 1800mAh battery. If you wonder why the main chamber, it is 8 megapixels, while the front has a 2.0 megapixel sensor.

Regarding the price of the BlackBerry Z10, is about $ 700, or about 520 €.

Do you think that this type of BlackBerry phone will be able to cope with the iPhone and Android smartphones or fall back to them?

Improvements to BlackBerry 10

 http://i.imgur.com/VNzEghN.jpg

One of the key features of BlackBerry 10 is the ability to jump from one app to another without having to press the start button, all thanks to BlackBerry Flow function. We also have the feature that allows BlackBerry Peek drag what's on the screen aside and see the other applications that are running.

BlackBerry Hub is a place to get all text-based messages, including email, SMS, IM, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.. It's like a central inbox for all text messages and can answer them from there without having to go from one app to another.

Other improvements include BB10:

-A multitasking mode for up to 4 applications.
-A contact list with social networking updates.
-A new way of writing that suggests a word on the next letter is likely that you press.
-BlackBerry Balance lets you switch between a professional (work) and one staff, each with their own apps and appearance. It's like two smartphones in one.
-BBM Video: You can make video calls using the BlackBerry Messaging and share photos using Share Screen BB10 with another user.
-BlackBerry Remember: a special folder to place things we want to see later, such as videos, images, URLs to visit, listen to music, etc..

Beyond that, BlackBerry World will start selling music and movies as well as applications. Also worth noting that BB10 has more than 70,000 applications since its launch, including Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Angry Birds and many more.

In the coming days we will share more details on this new platform. Meanwhile, tell us what you think of BlackBerry 10. Like as is or would you change anything? Also, do you think is the key to the company back to life?

BlackBerry 10 is here

 http://i.imgur.com/0wBQ3Ru.jpg

The day finally arrived. As we announced several times, finally unveiled the new operating system of ex-RIM in an event that took place on Wednesday 30 January. The main event took place at Pier 36 on the island of Manhattan in New York, but there were also simultaneous events elsewhere in the world such as Toronto, London, Paris, Dubai, among others.

Wondering why ex-RIM? Because from now on, the company has outgrown its name and becomes officially known as BlackBerry. With a name change and a great platform under their arms, BlackBerry attempt to make his triumphant return to the mobile phone market.

BlackBerry 10 is a fresh platform, a complete reprint of the old and improved BlackBerry OS complemented with some innovative features and promising. Besides the announcement of the operating system, also announced the first phones to run it, that will be the BlackBerry BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. The first is fully touch, while the second is a hybrid between a BlackBerry smartphone and traditional touch. The Z10 will go on sale from early February in different parts of the world, while Q10 is expected to do a few weeks later.

RIM: end of fall or will stand?

http://i.imgur.com/uzCoP.jpg

In about five weeks, the world will see if one of the giants of the market for mobile phones in the last two decades does stand or fall finish after having encountered a couple of years ago. The phones of RIM have not been what many expected and its technology has been somewhat "short", and while the company still has some loyal followers, the BlackBerry market share has plummeted since the arrival of iOS and Android. Many complained when RIM announced that BB10 would be launched only in 2013, but what if the wait really worth it? If the company takes the time to make your new platform to work properly, then it could be the rope that will pull the pit in which they find themselves.
It's easy to say that iOS and Android BlackBerry crushed, but certainly we all like good returns and RIM may have chosen a perfect time to return. It will be the only company to introduce a new platform in the first quarter of 2013 and it seems that many are willing to give the manufacturer a new opportunity.
Another point is also key to the victory possible RIM: international sales. The market U.S., UK, China and Japan is large, but we must not forget the rest of the world's countries and continents like Africa where RIM devices still continue to sell quite well. Perhaps RIM fails to conquer the few large markets, but you can still try to conquer the hundreds of small markets.
As noted above, in only five weeks we'll know.

First BB10 device would be launched in March

http://i.imgur.com/aOH6T.jpg

As we said above, the new platform will weigh RIM important for the future of the company. RIM, who in his prime became the market leader, is struggling to regain lost glory and reach the top once more. This time, obviously, will have two major obstacles to achieve: iOS and Android.
Reminds sure that the presentation of the RIM BlackBerry platform will be 10 late next month, on January 30. Thorsten Heins, the CEO of the company, stated that the first BlackBerry device 10 will be released in the first quarter of 2013.
A Boston analyst firm, Detwiler Fenton, believes the market arrival of the first smartphone BB10 will be in March, while the second phone is coming in June. It seems also that this second device will feature a touch screen QWERTY keyboard apart.
It is estimated that it will sell 2.5 million phones with BB10 during the second quarter.
So far RIM has not opened his mouth to announce the presentation seems January launch of the first mobile in February or March.

BlackBerry Aristo: could this be the flagship mobile RIM?

http://i.imgur.com/3pFSu.jpg

Any company that makes devices phones must have a smartphone flagship. Apple has the iPhone, Samsung has the Galaxy S3, HTC has the One X, and the list goes on. For RIM, this is not entirely clear, but the leaked specifications of the new BlackBerry Aristo could make without doubt their best product.
The Aristo, which obviously would be part of the new generation of BlackBerry phones with 10, is a smartphone that can compete with the larger market. RIM's new terminal features a 4.65-inch OLED screen with resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and is considered the thinnest BlackBerry all, measuring only 8.85 mm thick.
Under its roof, the new BlackBerry Aristo will Krait APQ8064 Qualcomm processor quad-core at 1.5GHz will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable via microSD. Its large battery is of 2800mAh and will have two cameras : a 2-megapixel front and rear 8 megapixel.
