Consumers will spend $ 2.1 trillion in 2012 with technology

By the end of 2012, consumers worldwide will spend $ 2.1 trillion in digital information and entertainment products and services, according to projections by Gartner. This means an increase of $ 114 billion for 2011.

"The biggest consumer segments in the technology are and will remain, mobile services, mobile phones and entertainment services," said Amanda Sabia, principal research analyst at Gartner.
