What would you do if you found one of these in your pool?
The ACM - R5 is the new version of the snake-like robot being developed by the Japanese company HiBot. Each section of the robot has its own processor, battery and allowing them to operate independently, yet all sections coordinate with one another to keep everything in sync. The sections of the snake can be removed or added others as needed.
ACM - R5 is a completely autonomous robot that swims in the water completely by itself.
HiBot is still improving the design and think you will have a bright future for search and rescue tasks and monitoring. You can see it in action in the video below.
