HP Pavilion 14-b031us, a new ultra-thin 14-inch

In the picture above we see the HP Pavilion 14-b031us, one of the new equipment from Hewlett-Packard. This is an ultra-thin laptop that measures just 0.8 inches thick and has a 14-inch screen. Given their size and weight of 1.8 kilograms does not fit into the category of ultraportables, but still be comfortable to wear. While it has its good points, it also has some bad: your processor is low voltage, causing lower yields than a standard, does not have any optical drive, so forget about inserting a DVD into it, and finally uses a 4-cell battery that lasts about 4 hours. One good thing about all this that costs only $380.
The full list of specifications and hardware can be seen below:
-Screen: 14 inches with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels.
-Processor: Intel Pentium dual-core 987 1.5GHz with 2MB of cache.
-Graphics: Intel HD integrated.
-RAM: 4GB of DDR3.
-Storage: 320GB hard drive at 5400rpm.
-Ports and slots: two USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, HDMI and a multi-card reader.
-Connectivity: Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth.
-Battery: Lithium Ion 4-cell and up to 4 hours.
-Other: has a HD webcam and Altec Lansing speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio.
-Operating system: Windows 8.
If you are looking for a cheap computer for basic things like reading mails, surf the Internet and so on, then the HP Pavilion 14 laptop b031us is adequate.
