The Apple bought the technology company AuthenTec security for $ 356 million, according to CNET .

The AuthenTec provides security solutions for various platforms, including Mac OS and even Android, and other large customers such as Cisco, HBO, HP, Lenovo, LG, Samsung and Motorola.

The company specializes in network security and authentication, and video solutions. Their technology could be incorporated into iOS devices or services streaming video on the entire ecosystem of devices from Apple.

With the acquisition, Apple seems to be more concerned about the safety of their devices. Recently, the company's systems were targeted by malware - both the Mac OS X and iOS, which suffered the first attack of malicious software.
