I'm sure this surprises no one who has an account on Facebook or surf the Internet every day: the social network in the world is full of liars, and in fact, 9% of Facebook profiles are fake, it equivalent to approximately more than 80 million fake accounts, which are used for different purposes.
Accounts not only undesirable (such as spammers) are counted as false, but also those dealing profiles companies, organizations or even on pets are considered false accounts. Facebook says that for this type of thing, there is the option to create pages, and only accounts that represent humans are considered "authentic." To the list of types of fake accounts should also be added the duplicate profiles, and so arrive at a total 83 million accounts.
Zuckerberg said in June that Facebook has more than 955 million active users, but obviously the real are around 870 million.
