Scientists find a way to implant memories in our mind

Surely we have seen several science fiction films (as Total Recall) in which an individual is implanted memories in mind. Guess what? Such things are not science fiction: they are part of reality. Scientists are now able to extract personal information directly from our mind, but now they have taken things to another level.
According to a new study, scientists have been able to induce memories inside the mind of a mouse. Professor Ben Stowbridge and one of his students, Robert A. Hyde, were able to create the circuits and the necessary interface to create new memories in the brain of a mouse. Apparently those memories were of short duration, but at least it's a first step that takes this issue out of the conceptual stage to bring the real world.
Apparently during the procedure were activated some isolated areas of the brain, but the changes lasted between 5 and 10 seconds only, which resulted in the recall have a limited duration.
The two scientists expect more research in this field can help fight memory related diseases such as Alzheimer's. Of course the technology will also play their role in this.
