The high court in London determined that HTC will not have to pay anything to Apple in a dispute that began a year ago. The Swedish company was able to cancel the European patents on the block, to prevent future process for violation of copyright.
The main one is the "Slide to unlock" ("slide to desblockear" present in several Android phones). The English court says the technology can even be used by Apple, but its development was a copy of "obvious" in an old feature of HTC phones, which now occurs in iPhones.
Other patents rejected talk of a keyboard with support for multiple languages and a system that identifies points on the screen, activated by several hints. Apple does not comment on the decision, but it was acid in a statement where he said "competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours."
