Archos has just introduced a new tablet designed to be used by the whole family, the brilliant Archos FamilyPad. This is a sizeable tablet that measures 13.3 inches. The screen is multitouch and has a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels.
The idea behind the device is to be used for watching movies, watching photo albums, play virtual games and other similar activities that can be done as a family.
The FamilyPad has decent specs. Its internal memory is 8GB, has a microSDHC card reader, uses an ARM Cortex A8 1GHz which is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and has a front and a rear camera of 2 megapixels in both cases. The department has a microUSB port and a HDMI output. Regarding the operating system, runs on Android 4.0 ICS.
The Archos FamilyPad will be released next month and will cost about $ 440.
