Sweden could have a spaceport in a decade

http://i.imgur.com/zZLva.jpg

Kiruna is a town in Sweden which may never have heard, but the airport has enough air traffic through its departing flights to London and Tokyo, among other cities. Within a few years, this place could become the gateway to space for non-astronauts, and also plans to use the future even resort to launch commercial space flights (although obviously not to other worlds).
Spaceport Sweden is the firm that wants to offer space flight to Sweden in about 10 years, meaning that a small two-hour space flight will become daily for some. Currently, it is estimated that the capacity of the ships that will be used is six passengers excluding the small crew to be on board (which will probably be the pilot and one passenger). I guess if we start saving now for maybe in 10 years we can pay us one of these little trips.
Hopefully this can become a reality and that the technology required is available when the time comes.

Scientists learn to erase the fear of the human mind

http://i.imgur.com/x1XqM.jpg

We've all read stories ever style 'John without fear' or, in the world of comics, superheroes like Daredevil, a fictional character whose main weapon is their lack of sense of fear.

Indeed, one could argue that fear is good, because thanks to him we know that should not be approached in a reckless manner on the edge of a cliff on a windy day. However, scientists diabolical not seem to agree with this idea and are developing a special technique that would be able to eliminate that feeling fearful mind.
The idea of this technique, researchers from the University of Uppala , Sweden, and is based on the functioning of the human brain itself and how memories are fixed in the mind.
According to these scientists, your mind does not remember events that occurred before literally, instead what is fixed in the memory is the last time that you thought about it.
Therefore, if you delete the consolidation process that occurs after a traumatic event, which is fixed in your mind is a memory that is not associated with any feeling.
The idea behind this invention is to avoid negative feelings and emotions that are fixed in the mind after someone has suffered an accident or theft, to name a few examples. Other potential 'Utilities' (with quotes) would get a battalion of soldiers was a reckless battle.
However, it could be said that basically is just another step designed to dehumanize the human mind, especially if the method also works to eliminate or positive emotions, coming to an end, any kind of emotion. Disturbing.

Sweden wins church that preaches piracy

Home to the first Pirate Party, Sweden once again shows his love for file sharing, now with a religion that preaches that piracy is holy. This is the Kopimism, which comes from the Swedish word for "copy me" and that claims to have over 8000 followers reported on its website. The organization starred in a long article in the New York Times , Thursday.

Religion is even registered to perform weddings and receive government subsidies, which may explain the unusual fact of its existence. Although not what you say Isak Gerson, the philosophy student who helped found the church in 2010 and accounts for the post of chief missionary organization. "For me it has to do with believing in deepest values instead of worldly values," he says to the American newspaper.

The sect originated after the success of pirates movements in Europe, born in Sweden itself for over a decade. In the 2009 parliamentary elections, the Pirate Party of the country has 7.1% of the vote, and have already achieved two chairs on top of the European Parliament.

In Germany, the pirates managed to 8% of the votes of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the state's most populous country. In Berlin, reached 8.9% in the elections for Parliament.

But none of the political organizations had a mystical garb - although apparently only to draw attention - the kopinistas. "We have people like priests," says Gerson, 20. "We call them ops, or operators, and they help us with small meetings. We do not have much ritual. We are a tolerant community," he jokes.

Instead of infatizar the battle for relaxation of copyright, the church says that the sharing of all forms of knowledge and even passed on in digital form, it is necessary for the evolution of society and a better understanding among peoples.

So, do you agree?
