The 50 most frequently used sources of information on Wikipedia

A visual applications company took all the data on information sources of the English edition of Wikipedia, and built an infographic that shows what the fifties sites mentioned in the articles of collaborative encyclopedia.

The three most accessed sites are books.google.com and web.archive.org, which would provide access to books and websites out of the air, and informative news.bbc.co.uk. Sites like YouTube, NY Times, IMDB, Google, MySpace and Facebook are also in the ranking, which measures the amount of citations in credentials editions.

As more and more graphic designers and illustrators gain web design skills, illustrations can increasingly be found on the web. UK designer Mike Kus showcases his 10 favourite examples of websites using illustration to enhance the user experience.

I'm Practicing graphic/web designer and illustrator. For me, understanding how to design and build the front end of a website is part of a modern graphic designer's skill set. The web is just another canvas to design on. There are different considerations when designing for the web compared with designing a magazine layout, for example, but the crossover between the two disciplines is significant.

As more and more graphic designers/illustrators gain web design skills, we’re seeing a growth in the number of websites that use illustration.
I want to showcase a few websites that have caught my eye over the last year or so that use illustration to enhance the user experience.

Today I present you with some amazing looking websites. In the ongoing struggle to build powerful online brands, people are becoming more creative every day. New artistic styles are emerging and web design as we know it is being transformed. The interesting websites listed in this post are the perfect example of this concept.

Take your time as you browse through these websites. Notice the structure, the creativity, and the outside-the-box approach to their designs. These websites exemplify the true meaning of creativity.
