Good news for all fans of the game: the new Xbox will be presented in less than 1 month! Microsoft already has begun sending out invitations for an event that will be held in the company's Xbox campus. The invitation says "A new generation revealed" (A new generation revealed) and marks the hashtag # XboxReveal, all of which can point to one thing: this is the long awaited Xbox 720, or whatever it will be called.
The event date is May 21, so what was said by analyst Paul Thurrot recently proved true. On campus you can see the Xbox team and also to Don Mattrick, President of Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. There are rumors that the event will be broadcast on TV, also via the Xbox website and Xbox Live, but this is not confirmed yet.
Regarding the Xbox itself, no official data yet, but rumors indicate that need permanent Internet connection, have a eight-core AMD processor and GPU supports DirectX 11.
It is unclear whether Microsoft will do the same to Sony and not the console physically present, but certainly all hope that does.
