Yesterday Intel finally introduced its new mobile processor, known as Intel Clover Trail. It is likely that this new Atom processor is made present in the first wave of Windows 8 tablets coming to market.
The processor itself is the Atom Z2760, a 1.8GHz dual-core graphics chip that has an Imagination. Most notable is that, unlike the Windows 8 tablets with ARM processors, this new processor will allow us to run the full version of Windows 8 instead of having to use the RT version.
Intel expects tablets incorporating Clover Trail processors may have a thickness of about 8.5 mm and weigh about 680 grams. Besides this, the battery could be maintained up to 3 weeks in standby mode or we could give you 10 hours of continuous use.
