AMD 7890 is coming to fill a small gap in the market

Now that the current generation of graphics cards is closed (except surprise last minute), the two market leading manufacturers begin to think how to get the most out of your current GPU. One of the best ways to squeeze out the technology is what we call medleys, versions with slight variations but they are presented as entirely new products.
In this sense it is beginning to consider the possibility of a new AMD 7890, a graphics card that would position between 7870 and 7950 in both performance and price. It says it could implement a core Tahiti Tahiti LE modified from original, bringing more than a 7870 (core Pitcairn) would result in a 7950 (Tahiti core) speed down.
The final characteristics are unknown, but it is said that AMD will rival 7890 for NVidia GTX 660 and GTX 660 Ti with a price of about 250 euros or so. In this figure and some are over NVidia models, which offers the same performance if it could be an interesting bet for the user.
AMD 7890 could be a cartridge over AMD, the last of the company in the current generation. The news rather than technical (and cores are all presented and new bring only slight changes) are market: a model covering the strip above minimum between 7870 and 7950. A new range mean that AMD will continue talking about the confirmation.
