Maingear announces portable Vube 15 with Ivy Bridge and Kepler

intel

Choosing a laptop for games is a little harder thanks to new Maingear ofrecimeinto of Ivy Bridge chip and Kepler. With a base price of $ 1099, the setting "Good" should be able to run all modern games with the settings in mid-to high because it comes with a dual-core Core i5-3360M, GeForce GT 650M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM and a 500GB hard drive that spins at 7200RPM.

Priced at $ 1299, version "Better" comes with a Core i7-3520M dual-core processors and 750GB hard drive. The setting "Best" of U.S. $ 1599 offers a quad-core i7-3720QM, GeForce GTX 660m, 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, and a Crucial SSD 128GB mSATA m4 with a 750GB hard drive. The last configuration, called "Ultimate," has a cost of U.S. $ 1999 but offers a i7-3820QM, 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD m4.

Unlike most Maingear systems, these configurations for Vybe 15 are not very flexible - at least when it comes to modify its main specifications. Unfortunately this can be limiting depending on who you play, you may need a 660m instead of a GT 650M or want a SSD instead of a traditional hard drive in the basic configuration - it is unclear whether mSATA units can be added to the configurations Basic.

All configurations come with a matte screen 1080p 15.6-inch, multitouch trackpad, full size keyboard, 1.3 MP webcam, DVD burner, and the typical I / O connectors: HDMI and VGA, headphone jacks and microphone, card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Vybe 15 comes without bloatweare although there is a free copy of Just Cause 2 and $ 60 in gifts for Tribes Ascend.
