The drones have been used primarily for military purposes. Being lightweight and have the ability to remotely control becomes the army now quite commonly used.
Fortunately, a humanitarian group called ideate has plans to use these devices for purposes obviously humanitarian, such as saving lives and sending supplies to places where a person can not easily reach.
Disaster, one of the main problems can be accessibility. Rescuers sometimes find themselves in situations where you can not help them because the victims are in inaccessible areas.
That's when the drones can take action. Ideate aims to help people who are on the scene of a disaster based on GPS tracking. If a person makes a call or sends a text message from an affected area, the drone is able to detect the GPS signal can be used to send food, medicine or whatever it takes.
Ideate recently been doing some successful tests with a drone and the same were made in a desert, indicating that even in adverse climates can be useful.

Closed Beta Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm on track

 http://i.imgur.com/UBYGO.jpg

Blizzard announced that the expansion pack Heart of the Swarm for Starcraft II beta is now closed. The developer said that the first round of lucky players includes professionals, media members, fans and competition winners but there are plans to open the multiplayer component for more players soon.
It is recommended that players interested in participating can click the "Beta Profile Settings' within section Battle.net account management. Obviously, follow these steps does not guarantee that you will receive access to the closed beta but your chances increase to actively play StarCraft II using the same account.

Blizzard said they are also working with several fan pages and community personalities to offer additional opportunities in the beta. Participants suspect that the pages will be listed on the fan page for StarCraft II with the idea that they are well known. The company did not say exactly how many invitations are for the beta, but mentioned that players will be added as necessary to perform their respective tests.
The company traditionally sees several factors when choosing their beta players including system specifications and if these actively playing the game in question. Participation in this beta is open for both Windows and Mac users simultaneously in all regions although the language support is limited to English, German, French, and Korean.
Finally, the selected participants have to 'sign' a confidentiality agreement so I most likely will not see much of the content of the online beta.

Rumor: Apple is negotiating licenses to create Pandora style service

 http://i.imgur.com/sWrew.jpg

Apple is preparing an online radio service like Pandora, according to sources close to the company who spoke to the Wall Street Journal . This supposedly music service will work with all Apple hardware and perhaps even Windows computers, which has led some to speculate that it will be integrated into iTunes instead of being a standalone application.
As expected, the sources believe that the service will not be available on devices with the Google Android operating system.
Enter the market for streaming seems a logical step for Apple though unlike what they did a decade ago with the iPod, not forging a new path. Actually are following well-established services like Pandora and Spotify - even though this market is very difficult. Pandora, for example, has yet to report profits despite significant growth in revenue mainly due to the high cost of the royalties generated by the transmission of music.
The sources also said that Apple is negotiating licenses that would give users the option to play any song as often as you want, which is a common complaint in Pandora. Cupertino apparently also is negotiating their own prices rather than simply accept the rates set so far by the federal government.
Negotiations are still in their early stages so the most likely will not hear anything about the event next week where they will be iPhone 5.

Bing will be the default browser of Kindle Fire HD

What a surprise! Both Microsoft and Amazon itself has confirmed that the new Kindle Fire tablet HD use the search engine Bing as the default search engine.
Apparently, this agreement is very recent and the latest details of it were agreed yesterday.Besides appearing in the default HD Fire, Bing also will welcome in the new models of Kindle Fire (original) to be sold from now on.
If you, like me, do not like Bing, then do not worry, you can set another search engine like Google , Yahoo!, etc.. according to your preferences.

Google acquires VirusTotal

VirusTotal is a cyber security firm that has just been purchased by none other than Google , the Internet giant. What will you do with VirusTotal Google? Probably better protect their Internet services.
The purchase will be beneficial for us users, as it can improve the quality and performance of search tools and cleaning malware, which, according to analysts, will begin to be used almost immediately in services such as Gmail and Play app store Google.
Apparently, VirusTotal, will continue to operate by itself independently, but obviously now have extra chores. Google did not announce what the cost of purchase or the terms of the agreement.

Nokia Lumia 920 would be released in November

Nokia will begin sales of Lumia 920 in November, according to a new report.
Yesterday I commented on the official launch of this phone which were released to their specifications, but what was the company did not reveal its price or when it would be coming to market.
Now, in a Reuters report indicated that the Finnish company will launch its smartphone flagship during the eleventh month of the year, according to the statements of a European telecommunications operator. No mention was made of the release date of a new model, the Lumia 820.
By the way, I take to tell them, in addition to what we have seen, that the device will have 7GB Skydrive storage.
