Designed computer that never crashes

 http://i.imgur.com/Sd4Gieb.jpg

One of the basic features of any self-respecting computer is its ability to hang on many occasions when the least expect it to. Windows users are familiar with the famous 'blue screen of death' with cryptic messages that force you to restart the computer. Today, not so much as before, but still a problem to consider and more serious than it seems if we talk about certain cases. Imagine that the computer system failure aboard a rocket is taking off just when or computer in your home just as you finished a job and you have enabled 'auto save'.
To remedy this, researchers at the University of London have designed what became the first computer in the world that does not crash. Funnily achieved by applying rules and laws that are in the world of biology, not the computer.
The basic problem is that one current computer programs are based on linear compounds of a series of instructions that are executed sequentially. When one of these lines of program crashes, that's when it reaches a critical point at which the program can not work and, in extreme cases, the computer becomes blocked.
The idea of these researchers is to avoid this somehow mimicking a brain operation. In a brain find that the data are stored are not located in one place, but in several redundantly. Thus, in case of missing some of the data needed to perform a function can find them elsewhere.
The next step we are trying to get more curious from the IT perspective. They aim to create a dynamic program code to re-program itself according to external conditions change to occur. Again science imitating nature, in this case to ensure that in the future your computer never crash and also be able to re-program itself

Scientists create cells zombie exceeding acting to live versions

 http://i.imgur.com/29ZOJ1k.jpg

Scientists at the University of New Mexico have created in laboratory cells zombie who perform their duties better than living cells. It's not science fiction. They used a group of breast cells to coat with a suspension of silicon that has completely coated nanometer level. As a result they have obtained cells 'replicants' that outperform their versions 'alive'. Not only that, but are more resistant to extreme environments such as high temperatures and pressures.

Scientists have somehow painted with silicon cells which acts as a permeable armor. After the cell subjected to high temperatures up to 400 degrees, thus the whole cell protein material disappears by evaporation, leaving a remnant a replica formed by a silicon structure.
According to the researchers' zombie cells bind our chemistry and biology to create forms that not only look like their past versions, can also work in the future work. "
So far only isolated cells, but who knows if in the future will be able to create micro (or macro) organisms with the ability to carry out exploration in hostile environments inside and outside our planet.

Now partially blind people may have bionic eyes

http://i.imgur.com/5YSm2a6.jpg

The Argus II is Second Sight a bionic eye that has just been approved to be sold in the United States.

The Argus II consists of two main parts: an artificial retina is one which has electrodes that are implanted through cirguia in the patient's eye and the other is a pair of glasses fitted with a camera and a visual processor. The camera takes care of capturing all that "we", send the information to the processor and this is responsible for distributing the artificial retina, allowing us to "see".

What does this mean? That contrary to what many expected, the Argus II is a restorer of vision as it sounds, it just provides the person with enough so you can walk by itself.

As an analogy, people of Pop Sci has said it's like watching TV on a screen of 60 pixels.

Below is a video showing how the device, which incidentally has a cost of $ 150,000, although this does not include surgery. The procedure can only be performed in seven hospitals across the United States. No news for the rest of the globe.

Filtration control PS4

Missing only four days to announce the new Sony PlayStation 4, eagerly awaited since a couple of years. Thanks to new leaks, have confirmed what will be the command / control console, and as we advance, have a touchpad.

What stands out most, as you can see, is the aforementioned touchpad. Apart from this, there is a new design for analog buttons, while the panel address (the popular "arrows") has a similar design to the PS Vita. It also has a small speaker on the front (similar to the Wii Mote), has a headphone jack and it seems that also has a sensor PlayStation Move. It is said that the touchpad is two points, which can improve our accuracy for FPS shooter games.

Several prominent blogs with their sources have confirmed that the control is fully authentic, it is not no fake design invented by some fanatic.

Regarding the console itself, is expected to have an 8-core processor manufactured by AMD 1.6GHz 4GB RAM plus. Still do not know if you can run PS3 games, but if I did it would undoubtedly many points against Sony. And by the way, the price is estimated at about $ 500, although we expect this to be confirmed in a few days.

How about the new control PS4? Would you buy the console if it is sold at the price mentioned?

Samsung Galaxy S IV launch a Mini in May

http://i.imgur.com/hBGRdUq.jpg

A new Galaxy that follows the format of the Galaxy S III Mini? It seems that not only Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S IV soon, but also launch a mini version of it would be called, obviously, Galaxy S IV Mini. Personally, this rumor makes me very hard to believe.

This small version of the S IV will be released sometime in May, and while nothing is known about the specifics, are expected to follow the path of S III Mini.

Sources indicate that the project SamMobile J Active, codenamed Fortius and better known as the Galaxy S IV, will be followed by the Active Mini J project, codenamed Serrano, which is obviously the Galaxy S Mini IV.

The Galaxy S III Mini was what he wanted: a smaller version and with worse specs than its older brother, but with some similar features. If the S IV Mini will continue this way, and then we can go a little imagining what it will be.

Tell us: Do you plan to buy a Galaxy S IV? Or would you rather wait to see the Mini model?

Is the Wii U in Serious Trouble?

 http://i.imgur.com/bjQ37UK.jpg

For fans of the Wii U, this week contained an unpleasant surprise - the Wii U's big Rayman title - Rayman Legends - was being delayed again. Having originally been slated for a 2012 release, it had been pushed back once already to early 2013. Now it's facing a release window in late 2013. But just when owners of Nintendo's new console thought things couldn't get worse, it turned out that the game was no longer exclusively coming to the Wii U - it's now headed to the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well.

This is an extremely bad sign for Nintendo, as the Wii U is, quite frankly, not a console one would consider to be doing well. Having launched last year, it's struggled for good releases in the same way Sony's PS Vita did. The similarity here is clear - a few flagship titles haven't been enough to give the console the push it needs to begin a real surge into the gaming market and draw people away from current-gen consoles that have specs that can easily compete with the Wii U's.

Nintendo have been known for taking big gambles on their hardware, and a lot of the time it's paid off. But if they want to dance with the inevitable PS4 and third Xbox, and even the latest iPhone, they're really going to have to step up their game. The graphics only just match up to consoles that are about to become obsolete. The touch interface doesn't even support multi-touch. You can only buy 18-rated games from their online store between the hours of 11PM to 3AM. Nintendo are really taking some serious risks.

It doesn't end there, either - the console has no expandable internal hard drive, GamePads are pretty expensive and few games support multiple GamePads to begin with, and third party developers seem to be avoiding launching new AAA titles on the platform at all costs. If the best the Wii U can hope for is to struggle behind the twilight years of the Xbox 360 and PS3, Nintendo are going to have to do some serious thinking if they want to survive the next ten years while still operating at the same capacity they are now (i.e., as though they were using money to light their cigars).

Taking the UK games market as a good example of how Nintendo is performing outside the bubble of Japan, the Wii U held 1.6% of the games market as of January 2013. That's a worryingly low figure - lower even than the PS Vita's 2.2%, and it shows that out of the ten available gaming platforms, the Wii U is struggling to even register on the scale, let alone thrive. Nintendo have some serious work to do if they want to have a platform that offers enough to gamers, and given this platform is potentially designed to last several years, we can only hope that 1.6% statistic makes them a little more responsive to the aforementioned issues.

Apart from Rayman Legends, here are some Wii U games that you should watch out this year:
  1. Aliens: Colonial Marines (first quarter of this year)
  2. Injustice: Gods Among Us (April 16, 2013)
  3. Need for Speed Most Wanted (March 19, 2013)
  4. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (March 19, 2013)
  5. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (third quarter of 2013)
