The iPad generates 87% of the web traffic from tablets

http://i.imgur.com/8J538.jpg

With the advent of new tablets like the Nexus of Google and new versions of the Amazon Kindle Fire may think that using the iPad Apple is being reduced, but in reality this is not so. According to a company Chitika, the iPad is still dominating web traffic level in the market for tablets. The survey reveals that, on average, 100 people surfing the Internet via an iPad, 5 are doing it on a Kindle Fire, a tablet makes a Nexus and 3 do through a Galaxy tablet from Samsung . Obviously there are other tablets that also generate a percentage, but it is too small to be taken into account separately. All this means that the iPad generates 87% of the web traffic level tablets, although these results are obviously only for North America, so it is very possible that the world will be a little different.
Still, the iPad is still going through good times and no doubt this will continue for a while until someone achieves dethrone the king, which it does not seem that would happen soon.

Windows 8 Store now has 35,000 apps

http://i.imgur.com/4Qun4.jpg

The App Store Windows 8 continues to grow. Each day adds a new app to the selection available in the Windows 8 Store and indeed in the last month 14,000 applications have been added by site MetroStore Scanner. With this, the store has managed to exceed the total of 35,000 applications available for download and will continue to grow even more. Obviously yet still has a long way to go to reach those with the greatest stores, currently Apple and Google .
Initially when Windows 8 was released in late October, there were 10,000 applications, which became 13,000 in a week. It is estimated that today some 415 applications are added daily, ie so that when starting February should be the total of approximately 50,000.
Still, that's less than what Microsoft expected, since they say the store will have 100,000 applications for February. Will they meet this goal or fall by the wayside?

Apple Maps has 3 times more likely to give you a wrong direction compared to Google Maps

http://i.imgur.com/g5UcV.jpg

If you've already used the Maps app from Google for iOS 6, entonce know it's great that launched against Apple . One thing that was needed was a real comparison of the use of both applications. How bad is the Apple Maps compared to that of Google?
Well according to a study conducted by CrowdFlower, if you use the app on the block have 3 times more likely to get an incorrect address if you use the search engine. We also used the address of the function that has Bing in the study.
The result was that Apple Maps is the worst of the three, then the function follows Bing and first place goes to the Google application. In a second part of the study the results were repeated, making clear that Google Maps is by far the best map application there.
What do you think about this? Do you think it's the best or even better?

More people upgrade to iOS 6 thanks to Google Maps

http://i.imgur.com/ERxqL.jpg

A few days ago I commented that Google had launched its Maps application for iOS 6 , the new version of mobile operating system Apple . According to MoPub, updates iOS 5 to iOS 6 rose by 29% in recent days following the launch of the Google Application above. What does this mean? Well obviously that many do not want to upgrade because of the known problems and mapping application from Apple, but now that Google has come to save the day, things are very different.
MoPub found that looking at the data of 12,000 applications which support. The CEO of the firm says it is very likely that this surge of updates to iOS 6 is due to Google's Maps. This would confirm the hypothesis that many people were waiting for the release of this app .
Google Maps has become the most downloaded application from time to only 7 hours of being launched and in two days and had over 10 million users.

LG and delays Nexus 4

http://i.imgur.com/kL3ht.jpg

The launch of the Nexus 4 did not prove as Google expected. Did you sell a few units? On the contrary, many are selling, so many in fact that Google and LG could not correctly predict the sales that would have smartphone and this created a delay in shipment of units after the first wave of buyers.
In the words of LG, are struggling to meet demand due to the popularity of the device.
The Nexus 4 has proven to be an extremely popular phone and resellers do not have units available for those seeking to buy the device. LG is working hard with Google to ensure that buyers can have the phone they want.
It is noteworthy that the only culprit of this is LG, as the company provides products according to estimates from leading resellers, and Google failed to accurately anticipate how popular it would be the Nexus 4.
Remember this little integrates a quad-core processor, comes with Android Jelly Bean, sold unlocked and costs only $ 300.

New Chromebook touch screen could be launched before year-end

 http://i.imgur.com/fNf3U.jpg

It seems that Microsoft is not the only company that believes that computers and laptops with touch screen is a very good idea. Apparently, Google thinks the same, and so is planning to launch a touch-screen laptop Chromebook before year-end, and it is likely to be sold under its own brand.
According to China Times reports, Google has already made a big order the Taiwanese manufacturer Compal, and it seems that the number of units responsible for around 20 million or so, which undoubtedly is a large number.
By incorporating the technology of a touch interface on a Chromebook, Google plans to do what Microsoft did with Windows 8: the benefits of a touch screen that has been integrated into a traditional laptop.
No one knows exactly what the operating system in question to use the equipment. Everything points to be Chrome OS, but also speaks it could have Android and Chrome OS at once and even an operating system that combines the two mentioned.
Something that so far we do not know is whether it will be a hybrid model as the Lenovo Yoga , but that certainly raise the price enough, and so far have proved Chromebooks cheap equipment.

The team at Google has relaunched a new update to its app for Android and YouTube as big news we have a new feature that allows us to send videos to other devices.
The videos we ship can be transferred to other devices such as smartphones and tablets Android or a Google TV, provided they share the same WiFi connection. Note that this is a real-time transfer, that is similar to a stream, and while the play YouTube video on a TV or on a tablet can use our smartphone to surf for another video to play. In short, pretend that the Android device that makes sending a remote control and a television receiver. Remember also that the video can be sent to multiple devices at once.
In addition, the update also brings the ever-present bug fixes and bugs.

The Google Nexus destroys 4 sales

http://i.imgur.com/FJLrQ.jpg

It seems that Apple is not the only manufacturer of smartphones able to have a unusual sales in a few hours, because the same thing happens to Google with their new phone, the Nexus great 4. Remember that this device was announced a couple of weeks ago? It was released yesterday, and in only 50 minutes and there were no more units available in the United States.
In the UK was even faster, achieving a time of 30 minutes, while in Germany nearly set a record to run out in no less than 15 minutes. That's what people call a successful launch, right?
I clarify that no exact figures on how many devices were initially offered for sale, so this may not be as impressive as it sounds.
The Google Nexus and LG 4 costs $ 300 with 8GB of memory and $ 350 with 16GB. Note that these prices are without a contract and for the U.S. territory, although they are still relatively low costs that should be reflected in similar way in other markets worldwide.

A new look for Google

 http://i.imgur.com/fyBaF.jpg

Maybe if you go to Google is likely to notice that is different to how it was done a few hours ago. When you search, you will see that the categories (web, images, videos, etc..) That used to be vertical to the left, now will be under the search bar and horizontal.
If you want to see some more options you simply do an Advanced Search for even more filters.
Why Google has modified its search page? Well, apparently, to improve the user experience not only to the PC level, but also at the level of tablets and mobile phones .
And certainly, if not yet reflect the changes, do not worry, some countries take a little longer to arrive, but they will eventually.

http://i.imgur.com/jj2RG.jpg

Rumors about the Nexus smartphones spread very quickly. In this picture above we are seeing what could be considered the LG Nexus, and not surprising since lately there has been talk that the search engine company,Google, could have partnered with LG to create such a product.
This Nexus saves a striking resemblance to another phone from LG, the Optimus G, which surely remember having a quad-core processor, 13-megapixel camera, 4.7-inch screen and 2GB of RAM, among other things, and is likely that we can get an idea of the kind of hardware that will integrate the new Nexus.

Apple Maps application reveals the location of a classified military base

http://i.imgur.com/GEdLY.jpg

Bad news for Taiwan army generals. It seems that due to faulty app for iOS maps 6 has been given to the location of classified military base where a radar is made with a budget of $ 1,200 million.
As you can see, the picture above is taken directly from the map application of Apple, which means that those who possess it can see the location of the building.
Apparently, the construction of the new radar will be completed around the end of the year and be able to anticipate in a few minutes a possible missile attack by China. And by the way, this particular information on the radar was not provided by the application, which was commissioned just show the location of the base.
Now one thing is certain: if China does not know where he was based, so now you know. In times past, soldiers from around the world have asked Google to lower the resolution of the images of certain areas or just the same are very blurry. Taiwan has already made the request to Apple, but it seems that Apple has yet to respond.
In some ways, you could say that the maps application has not proved to be so bad, right?

http://i.imgur.com/GAt5D.jpg

The 2012 edition of the Ceatec has undoubtedly been very interesting. There has welcomed all kinds of inventions and devices latest technology and obviously some prototypes of products that are still in development. Among the prototypes can be found a device created by NTT Docomo and that is a smartphone which is mounted in our head, and that the first time I saw reminded me of the glasses Glass of Google.
Using augmented reality technology, NTT building will allow us to enjoy video calls, will also give us the ability to enter text using gestures and apparently also be able to monitor the health of the user, among other things.
The device is still in a development stage and will not be released soon, so we can calmly wait several months before you see it on the market. By the way, it's great that more and more inventions are vist0s incorporating augmented reality displays, though in the case of experimental products.
