As you may know, Valve is creating a version of Steam for OS and Linux distros. Instead of opening the beta to all, the company has chosen to search for a group of users that the test (around 1000 people allegedly). Steam for Linux will be, initially, a software 32bit and the preferred distro is Ubuntu Valve to run it.
