IPhone users Apple may not have loved the Maps application for the company, but the app was used more than any other in the smartphone from Apple in 2012 according to Nielsen data.
It is estimated that Maps was used by about 32.4 million iPhone users monthly, surpassing even Facebook which reached 28.6 million.
We all know that Maps was a major disaster for Apple, even the company's CEO, Tim Cook, apologized about it. Earlier this month Google Maps for iOS was released in June and became extremely popular in a few hours.
Notably, the Nielsen study used data only from January to October, so the app from Google did not enter the list.
