The Android Developers community just released a new report with multiple data and platform versions known. The interesting thing is that Gingerbread undoubtedly remains the dominant version.
Android 2.3, or Gingerbread, as they like to call it, is present in 47% of mobile apps in the world, which is less than what was revealed in October, which was present in 55% of the devices. While it has its share dropped slightly, Gingerbread still the king.
Secondly we have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is part of the 29% of Android phones in the world, while third place goes to the latest general release, Android 4.1/4.2 Jelly Bean, which has a share 10%. Froyo also is almost as popular as Jelly Bean, as it has a market share of 9%.
