Samsung working on a eight-core chip for smartphones and tablets

Samsung is developing a new type of mobile processor will be based on the ARM architecture Big.LITTLE. This architecture is an expansion of the technology 4-Plus-1, which is used by a known quad-core processor, the Nvidia Tegra 3, which is able to use a single core when not needed in order to save the rest battery.
It seems that Samsung plans to talk about his new project in the conference International Solid-State Circuits to be held in February. The new eight-core chip from Samsung will be created with a 28nm process and have two clusters of four cores each. One of these clusters will run at 1.8GHz and will be responsible for tasks requiring high performance, while the remaining cluster march at 1.2GHz and will handle simple tasks in order to save battery all possible.
Will this be the chip that will use the next Galaxy S IV?
