A new feature of the new operating system Apple iOS 6 has been the removal of Google Maps that has been replaced by a mapping application from Apple itself. By now you may already know this and also have also read that Apple maps are full of errors in several areas of the world to the point that buildings and roads appear disfigured.
At first, this error on Google maps became fun, many social network users have posted pictures showing these visual bugs but it seems that the issue will move on to something more serious. For now, the Irish Government has been the first to jump asking Apple to quickly solve the problem as a matter of public safety.
Specifically, the case of Ireland focuses on a site in south Dublin which is installed in a park. This park has the curious name of 'Airfield Park' and it seems that this name containing the word 'Air' has led to confusion in the application of maps marked Apple because it appears as an airport. Quite worrying if a plane or plane ever come to think that here is an airport where there are only families picnicking on the grass and children playing on swings.
These errors are scattered map areas affecting cities around the world where roads are not even really exist. It seems that Apple could have serious problems if there is some kind of incident maps. Would this happen if Jobs was still in charge of Apple?
