Following the release of Angry Birds Star Wars a few days ago, the developer, the Finnish Rovio, is proud to announce that their new game reached number 1 in the charts in the App Store for only U.S. 2 ½ hours . Rovio says this new record has surpassed several of its earlier marks. The truth is that we must give it up for Rovio to create a fantastic game. Angry Birds Star Wars takes us to a couple of planets in the fictional universe of Star Wars. Of note is the great work done by Rovio designing the characters. The red bird is Luke Skywalker, yellow takes the form of Han Solo, the black is the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Big Red has become a brown Chewbacca, while the pink bird is Princess Leia. R2-D2 and C-3PO are shaped not but appear as bird eggs.
According to Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio Chief Marketing Officer, this is the best title in the franchise Angry Birds have developed so far.
